Activity Gifts Terms

Launch policy for activity gifts.

These terms explain how activity gifts are intended to be used at launch. They are written for families and may be updated as Upward expands.

Purpose

Activity gifts are for eligible child activities. Examples include classes, lessons, camps, sports, museums, indoor play, community programs, workshops, and similar child experiences.

Parent choice

Parents choose the activity and provider. Upward does not require the giver to pick a specific venue, program, or schedule.

Receipt review

Parents may submit complete receipts for eligible child activities. Upward reviews receipts for child activity fit and may request more information when a receipt is incomplete or unclear.

Review timing

Most complete activity receipts are reviewed within 24 hours. Approved reimbursements are sent through Stripe, and final timing depends on Stripe and the receiving account.

Not eligible

Activity gifts are not for groceries, gas, rent, general household bills, adult-only purchases, unrelated retail purchases, or other expenses outside child activities.

Stripe

Stripe powers payment and payout infrastructure. Stripe account setup can affect final reimbursement timing.
