Partner quick start

Your first booking starts here.

Set up one offering first. You can add more services, products and team members as you go.

1. Tell us about your business

Create a business account and follow the setup prompts. Choose whether you want to manage existing bookings and parties, accept online bookings, or both. Your dashboard shows the next useful step; you can change your goal later.

In Places, add the venue address. In Staff & spaces, add the rooms, equipment or staff you need to schedule. Check your venue’s time zone before publishing times.

Open Connections in More tools and connect Stripe when you want to accept card payments. You can start with free activities or manage bookings paid elsewhere without connecting Stripe.

2. Create one offering

Open Offerings → Add an offering. Choose admission, a class, a birthday package or another format, then enter a name and short description. This creates a private draft.

  • Overview: add your description, category and photos.
  • Tickets & prices or Details & prices: configure the offering and set its prices. Use 0 for a free offering.
  • Availability: add a place and bookable times. Classes need a schedule before you can price it. Products show pickup and delivery options instead.
  • Included items & extras: list what comes with the purchase, then add any customer choices or paid extras.
  • Booking settings: choose cancellation terms and other applicable booking rules.

Choose a section under Edit offering. The selected section is highlighted. Save the changes in each section. Draft saved means your edits are stored privately; it does not mean the offering is published. When ready, choose Review & publish to preview and check it.

Birthday example: start with a two-hour package, add a required theme choice, then offer party bags per child. You can create a new product extra directly in the editor, including its price, pickup place and stock. If a choice adds time or uses supplies, open Choices that change time, capacity or supplies and set that effect too.

For waivers, open Waivers, publish your document, then assign it to the offering draft before publishing. Party defaults apply to new hosted parties. Families should see required terms before booking.

Changing an offering: open it and choose Edit offering. Publish your changes when ready. Existing bookings keep their accepted package, price and terms. If a birthday package’s length or guest limits change, add times for the updated package and close unused old times. A held or booked time cannot be closed.

3. Publish and share

Open Settings → Public page to name and describe your storefront, choose featured offerings and preview it at phone or desktop width. Publish your public page, then publish your offering. If a check finds something missing, follow its next step and try again.

Open the public offering and check it as a parent would: description, date, price, extras and policies. Copy the storefront or listing link into your website’s booking button, social profile or a message to a parent.

Open Bookings to see reservations and their details. Use Orders for purchased items and financial records. Check the status before treating a reservation as confirmed.

4. Bring a birthday party into Upward

For a party booked by phone, in person or through another service, open Parties and add its date, time and room. You can reserve the room before adding a parent or payment.

  1. Open the party’s Overview and invite its organising parent when you are ready.
  2. The parent follows the link, claims the party and prepares the guest invitations.
  3. Guests reply and complete required waivers. In the same party, open Guests & waivers for their status, Team & room for assignments, and Run sheet for preparation.

If you replace a parent invitation link, share the new one—the previous link will no longer work. Guest replies, payment and staff assignments have separate statuses. Check each one before the party. To move a confirmed party, agree the change with the parent first, then update its time or room from the party workspace.

5. Get your team ready for arrival

Invite staff from Team. Choose a role that fits their work; front-desk staff can manage arrivals without access to financial records.

Use Schedule to organise the day and check room and staff assignments. No Google Calendar connection is needed. Connections shows whether optional calendar linking is available for your account. Open a booking to download its calendar file. At arrival, open Front desk or the party roster, find the booking and check the required signatures before marking guests as arrived.

For a booking made elsewhere, use New booking in Front desk when a bookable time is available. Enter the responsible adult and children, and share the waiver link when prompted. Never mark an unsigned waiver as signed.

Before sharing your link widely

Check one complete booking with your team: the parent’s choices, confirmation, reserved room or staff, guest details and arrival process. Confirm that a teammate can find everything without asking you where it is.
